My constant search for more and better services has turned up another great antivirus/antimalware subscription service: Webroot SecureAnywhere Business!
Enclave now offers yearly subscriptions to SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection and Mobile Protection. Both are professionally managed by Enclave and available to business and home computer owners.
How does Enclave make a profit with managed antivirus and antimalware services? Certainly not by our yearly subscriptions, which cost the end user – you – very little. Our profit results from the rare incident response required by our large and growing group of client subscribers. Webroot SecureAnywhere Business can handle the vast majority of threats, which means most of our clients will never experience a threat that requires intervention by Enclave Managed Networks. But for those 1 to 2 percent (or less) of our clients that do need our help, Enclave is ready and able – at the hourly rate of $75*.
Let’s face it, no antivirus (AV) or antimalware (AM) product is perfect. Additionally, the bad guys are constantly improving and developing their malware and methods. Fortunately for us, so are the good guys such as Webroot. Protecting yourself from the bad guys begins by installing good AV and AM software, then ensuring it’s kept up-to-date. The next step is to have someone watch your computers and devices and the AV and AM software to ensure the software is doing its job; someone able to quickly respond should the need arise. That someone is us: Enclave Managed Networks.
Of course, regular file & system backups enhance your ability to recover from an AV or AM infestation. The timely installation of software and operating system updates is also important. Enclave can help you with backups and updates as well. It could be Enclave’s New Deal subscription would be a better fit for your situation.
This is a special note to all those Mac OS X users out there. I like Macs and use them every day. Very handy computers, they are; but they are not invulnerable. Sure, there are only a handful of viruses that attack Mac OS X, but we need to think in terms of threats, not viruses. Viruses are a serious threats. However, they are only a subset of the total realm of threats to computers and other devices. Macs are indeed vulnerable to a wide variety of threats. You do yourself no favours if you choose to ignore those threats.
Where should Webroot SecureAnywhere Business be installed? You should have AV and AM software installed on all your computers (servers, workstations, and laptops – physical and virtual), and all your mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. Below is a list of system requirements for SecureAnywhere Business.
SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection: $36* per year per device (laptop, workstation, server, tablet, or smartphone)

How do you get a SecureAnywhere Business subscription? Download, complete, sign and return the sign-up form. Download and read the Terms and Conditions. Once I receive the completed form I will send instructions and download links to the installers. Be sure to include on the form the number of computers and mobile devices you will be protecting. It would also be helpful to list any and all antivirus and antimalware software you currently have installed on those devices.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you have regarding this or any other service offered by Enclave.
